Five Times to Send Postcards to Customers

Even in today’s internet age, some traditional marketing techniques can still be wildly effective. One example is postcard marketing. Postcards are still much more likely to be read than direct mail letters, and they can still grab customers’ attention.

But when should you send postcards to your customers? Well, to be honest, anytime you send feel like sending a postcard is a good time, assuming you design them effectively and send them to the right people. Still, here are five great times to send out some business postcards:

1. When You Launch a New Product or Service

If you are starting up a new product line or service, and you want to generate some excitement, design a postcard printing for your customers. Describe the new addition to them, and let them know how they can take part in this new era for your company. Make your customers feel like they are part of the team (because they are) and ask them to come check out your new stuff.

2. When You Want to Advertise a Sale

Everybody loves a sale (even guys, even though they do not admit it). When you are having a sale, send out postcards to your customers announcing it. This is cheaper than many other forms of advertising, and much more effective. Personalize the cards, and you will see even more benefits.

3. To Keep Customers Informed

This is especially effective if your company is going through major changes or experiencing rapid growth. Keeping your customers informed about what is going on with your business can put them at ease about any changes that are occurring. It could also remind them that you exist, if they had forgotten, and entice them to come back in for a visit.

4. When You Move or Change Offices

If you have to move, or choose to move, you must make sure that your customers follow you. Design a postcards printing to send to your customers giving them your new location. You might even want to include a special deal for them, to entice them to come check out your new digs.

5. When You Have a Special Event

Much like when you are having a sale, you can advertise a special event with a postcard marketing campaign. Send postcards to your customers telling them about the event, when and where it will occur, and how they can take part. Sometimes all it takes to generate interest in an event is to let people know about it. Postcards can be a great way to accomplish that.

Obviously, postcard printing can be a tremendous way to keep in touch with your customers. They accomplish two feats at once: keeping customers informed, and reinforcing your company name in their minds. So take advantage and design a postcard marketing campaign today.
